The short answer is to not worry about it. Your G2 gives an 11.6mb,
2272X1704 "dot", file. That is enough information to make very nice
8X10-inch prints. Just crop your image file slightly to 8X10 aspect ratio
and send it to your printer.  The printer front end will use the file to
fill what ever size paper you set it up with. In this case an 8X10 will be
printed with about 230 dpi of information. 

If you plan to go farther than just making a few 8X10-inch prints from your
G2, check out a basic digital image printing info site like Kodak's at:
