I presume you prepare a file in Photoshop. and then when you go to save it you select to save it as a .jpeg compressed file. In the dialog box you select the amount of compression (aka "quality") you want and then save it. For most work medium quality or a quality level of 5 or 6 is sufficient. Oh, and the quality level that you choose will dictate also how big the final compressed file will be. For some applications you don't want a huge file. I guess this also has to do with how big the original image is ... Anyway, a .jpeg compressed image file should be able to be opened by any computer assuming it has an image viewing program on it - which is invariably the case. OK ... but now you have saved the image as a JPG - now what? Will you be giving this file to your customer on a disk ... or sending it by email as an attachment? > Thanks. Well, there is a complete set of instructions available on the web at: http://www.isc.rit.edu/~andpph/gallery-sub.html Comments and discussion about photographs is a result of people taking a peek at them first and then sharing their observations on the list. The photographs are available at: http://www.isc.rit.edu/~andpph/gallery.html we all look forward to your participation!
