Agreed.

Something else to keep in mind is that a lot of people that are starting with NetFilter are also starting with firewalling in general. So in actuality they have a couple of things that they are learning at the same time, 1) firewalling concepts, and 2) NetFilter's implementation.

With this in mind, it might be good to have detailed NetFilter specific documentation (2 above) and reference generic firewalling documentation (1 above). So that people have as much of what is needed all in one location (site / documentation set).
