There has been little interest from Nokia against this bug in bugzilla, I'll update it with a link to this newsgroup discussion as I think you input has been been very helpful. It would be nice to know if/when this problem will be fixed as any bug that causes the unexpected termination of an application - no matter how unlikely it is to happen (and this bug isn't _that_ unlikely from my experience) - should be fixed as a priority.
