 From the package name (arm.deb vs armel.deb) on the first line of this 
wiki page you can guess this guide is for IT2005 (and won't work on 
IT2006 at all).

You may check second part of 
http://maemo.org/maemowiki/HowTo_BootRootFSFromMMC but this is something 
slightly different. It allows you to move whole rootfs to mmc and dual 
boot between card (with possibly bigger rootfs) and flash (as a  backup 
when you need to remove the card or fix rootfs on card when it breaks).

As for n770 cfdisk, I don't know. I used linux PC and usb card reader 
for creating partitions on the card.
