Ah, right.  I didn't think about the serial driver.  Did you test the
sierra_net driver as well?

I don't think adding all the IDs from the out-of-tree driver is a
problem.  They are likely to both exist and work. But the ID used by the
Telstra modems is of course the most important one right now :-)
