My FTDI device exhibits the same "hiccup" as previously described for my Keyspan devices, when I have both connected at the same time. Only the FTDI device is running at 115K, however. Interestingly, while the FTDI device appears to be hung, the Keyspan device continues to work properly at 38.4K.

I wonder if the problem really is that if for some reason usbserial misses a byte (or URB, or whatever), then it can't recover?
