scenario1:

clone tree 1
make changes
update tree 1

scenario2:

clone tree 1
make changes
update tree 1

clone tree 2
make changes
update tree 2

It seems to me that scenario 2 is twice the work, to keep it updated. :-)
Simply no reason to do double the work.
