Igor,

The ouptut by scanModem confirms that your hardware is indeed agere
11c11040 modem supported by agrsm drivers, but those drivers are only
for x86 systems and not x86_64 ready :(

Since your system is 64 bit, the drivers have no shot of working.  It
might be recommended that you install Ubuntu but 32 bit to make use of
the modem.  Otherwise it is difficult/to impossible to make the modem
work.
