Aditya, Since you have installed the driver and it is recognized, please run the following: $ sudo wvdialconf /etc/wvdial.conf after you have successfully run $ sudo slmodemd -c INDIA /dev/slamr0 then after the modem is recognized Open the file with vi/gedit using $ sudo gedit /etc/wvdial.conf edit the password/username/phone number after removing the ";" and add a line "Carrier Check = no" to your wvdial.conf file and save it and then try to dialout/connect. Read the file Modem/DOCs/wvdial.txt if you have difficulties. Report back if you have trouble.
