Igor,

To better guide you, it would be best that you download scanModem.gz from

http://linmodems.technion.ac.il/packages/scanModem.gz

Copy it to your linux partition, and apply the following:
$ gunzip scanModem.gz
$ chmod +x scanModem
$ sudo ./scanModem

and send us ModemData.txt.  However since you say that your
distribution is x86_64, the drivers are known not to work with 64 bit
version(11c11040 from agere and several others), few are 64 bit ready
like martian modem, and hsf/hcf modem drivers from Linuxant, etc...
