Hi,
Unfortunately I didn't have much luck trying out the latest driver (1.0.18RC3). I can load the driver but when trying to access the soundcard makes the app crash. The logs tell me that a kernel bug has been exposed. I tried that with kernel-2.6.25 and the latest development kernel 2.6.27-rc7. I guess I have to wait for kernel 2.6.28 or 2.6.29 to get my modem working under linux :(. What a shame. For the first time in years I've become dependant on windows again.

Kind regards
Mehdi

Hey,
The crash is caused by the version of the ALSA snd-hda-intel.ko driver
that is in use.
I can report that I have NO problems on 2.6.25.16-0.1 using the latest
ALSA 1.0.18RC3 drivers.
After modifying, I issued './configure --with-cards-hda-intel' followed
by 'make' 'make install'. After reboot, loaded the modules and off I went :)

Might I ask which distro you are using?
What is that system's default kernel?
Bjorn.
