Hey, The crash is caused by the version of the ALSA snd-hda-intel.ko driver that is in use. I can report that I have NO problems on 2.6.25.16-0.1 using the latest ALSA 1.0.18RC3 drivers. After modifying, I issued './configure --with-cards-hda-intel' followed by 'make' 'make install'. After reboot, loaded the modules and off I went :) Might I ask which distro you are using? What is that system's default kernel? Bjorn.
