is the minor problem.ALSA support can only be done within the modem/ folder, as relatednear the end of the README.  So just delte the current slmodemd
Then within the modem/ folder do:$ make clean$ make SUPPORT_ALSA=1$ su - root# chown root:root slmodemd# cp slmodemd /usr/sbin/slmodemdThough may not be necessary:# chmod +x /usr/sbin/slmodemd
and retest the dialout.  Please report back.
Note that since slmodemd is NOT a driver, it needn't be recompiledwith every change in kernel.  That is why I can provide it alreadycompiled in the SLMODEMD-version.tar.gz packages.
