Instructions for compiling snd-hda-intel and dependent drivers are at:http://linmodems.technion.ac.il/archive-seventh/msg00282.htmlI'm not sure whether 1.0.13 sources will be OK or whether you have togo back as far as 1.0.12 alsa-lib and alsa-driver packages.
There may be another complication with your System having an x86_64 processor,if it is operating in 64 bit mode.  The slmodemd has a precompiled 32bit component and thus the modem can only operate in 32 bit mode.
