Your modem is a Subsystem within the00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801FB/FBM/FR/FW/FRW (ICH6Family) High Definition Audio Controller (rev 04)>From your older email: Class 0403: 8086:2668 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801FB/FBM/FR/FW/FRW Primary PCI_id 8086:2668 Subsystem PCI_id 1043:10c2 Softmodem codec or Vendor from diagnostics: 1057which is in principle served by slmodemd.
ONLY the snd-hda-intel driver is relevantand NOT the snd-intel8x0m driver which serves a different softmodem class.
However depending on your ALSA version, the snd-hda-intel mdemsupport may be broken. The alsa-sources may need to be patched andrecompiled. Please converse with Eberhard Schruefer<Eberhard.Schruefer@xxxxxxxxxxx> how is working on this problem. I amtraveling over the weekend and cannot further help for now.
