Strongly agree. We want a good technical copy-editor, which strikes almost all RFC authors from consideration, IMO.


To chime in on this particular point - no, you don’t want a good technical copy editor, at least not as a primary skill. The RSE never directly edits Internet Drafts. Someone with experience being a professional editor for a scholarly journal gets you closer.
