You quickly run into "let's not let [TLS|DNS] win again" kind of
workarounds. Also, I've done various interop tests with proprietary
implementations, but don't think we should give money to Big Vendors
for winning :)
couldn't agree more and is exactly why I added opensource as a caveat.
