Yeah, that wasn't a very clear comment, sorry, though I would still say that having your milestones all say 2017 doesn't suggest to a drive-by tourist that the group is making progress. I'm not sure if there's a norm across the IETF that
The impression that I got when joining IETF was that OAuth would not be welcoming to any new work which didn't fit their existing view of the world, and that they were not making good progress with the work they were trying to do. Maybe that impression was wrong - if so, it was definitely a widely held wrong impression among the people I talked to.
