Re: Not routing ...

Hi Simon,

Could there be a relation with the fact that the non-working phone sets (in q.931) the number plan format to a "good value", whereas the working phone uses "unknown"? does GNU-GK treat calls ("dialleddigits") differently according to the number plan format?

Try just having the permanent section and GWPrefix section. Calls to
asterisk1 must be 1xxx and calls to asterisk 2 must be 2xxx and 1 and 2 are
stripped off before sending to the asterisk box that should work.

You should also start GnuGk in level 5 debug mode (gnugk -ttttt -otrace.txt)
and see exactly where and why the calls are being dropped.

Also try PacPhone www.pacphone.com and see what you get.

With reference to H.323 IP Phones? They are quite hard to get. Cisco still
make them. Failing that I have sourced unbranded phones from china in the
past. Contact me off list.

Simon

Subject: Not routing ...

Hi,

I am having some trouble getting the GK to route properly for some types of
phones.
I have a GK controlling 2 asterisks with H323. On the GK, 3 phones register:
- a swissvoice
- an sjphone
- an old siemens optipoint

Well, it all goes fine when working with SJPhone ...
But with the other two, I cannot get them to properly reach the asterisks
... I get a "not reachable" and then the GK drops the call.

This is what I get on the monitor console:
ACF|192.168.200.49:1720|4766_endp|19200
|1600:dialedDigits=1600:dialedDigits    |70049:dialedDigits
|false;
DCF|192.168.200.49|4766_endp|19200|normalDrop;

ACF|192.168.200.41:1685|1499_endp|4096    |1600:dialedDigits
|70041:h323_ID=70041:dialedDigits    |false;

ACF|192.168.200.207:1720|1500_endp|5900    |1600:dialedDigits
|700207:dialedDigits=700207:h323_ID=700207:dialedDigits=700207:h323_ID
|false;

See how the call from 192.168.200.49 / 70049 gets rejected, as well as that
from 200.207 ... Both have the "dialeddigits" value filled in, whereas the
one working (200.41), has an empty dialeddigits.

This is a piece of the config:
[RasSrv::GWPrefixes]
asterisk1=1
asterisk2=2
;wave=1

[RasSrv::PermanentEndpoints]
;192.168.2.102=4002
192.168.200.149=asterisk1 ;1
192.168.200.249=asterisk2;2
;192.168.1.234=wave;

[RasSrv::RewriteE164]
;%.=.
;2.=2222.

[RasSrv::GWRewriteE164]
asterisk1=out=1.=.
asterisk2=out=2.=.

Ideas?
Help would be appreciated.

Cesc
PS - I am on the lookout for a working H323 HARDphone (not softphone) to
work with GNU GK and Asterisk. Any names?
