I can help. I whish that there should be an automatic tool/script (or
simply just a sequence of commands) to speedup che "xml simmetry test" i.e.
the testing that every language enabled part is similar to the english
"template". Doing this just looking at the sources is IMHO impractical. 

Something like:

 symtest chapter.xml 

with output:

 chapter.xml (the cleaned source)
 chapter.xml.orig
 chapter.xml.rej

similar as a patch output.
