I now recall working with Tim Waugh to resolve PDF conversion issues
with URLs in <footnote/> blocks not wrapping.  I was putting URLs in
footnotes manually because they wouldn't appear by themselves in PDF as
footnotes (inline or in <screen/> blocks was not an option).  It may
have never occurred to me to ask about that, I might have assumed it was
broken.

Oh, well. :)
