Yes, it's very easy for Apple to get this right. Because they control
the hardware platform. We don't have that luxury. We're lucky if we even
get hardware documentation.
I haven't had any trouble with Windows either for the last few years but
my experience is limited to Dell and Ibm laptops. I believe there is
some vendor-supplied code that makes it work reliably.
