Say what? Are you kidding me? Ever tried to write/update/maintain a driver with no documentation?
Most of the work on the nv driver is being done by nVidia personal
mostly because they are the only ones that have any idea what's going on
with their own hardware.
Just look at this Changelog! [1]
Note the use of *apparently* you seem to have taken Emmanuel's comments out of context, in my opinion it was 99% sarcastic...

nVidia have tried to blame everything on XOrg and "other people" which is exactly what is outlined in Emmanuel's e-mail.
