I looked over the dependency tree here. The only significant apps we would lose are Tomboy (obsoleted by Gnote), Banshee (unmaintained for a long time with no attention to security bugs), and an old compatibility version of Glade that can go away. Looks like some mono packages. I would retire all of these.
