I don't think that's sufficient. Presented with a choice to destroy
data or preserve data, why would anyone want to destroy data for no
apparent reason? It'd be silly to click "destroy" and not "preserve."

Please, just pick one mode or the other. I agree, we should probably
force users to dd; I trust Adam that we will have fewer problems that
way.
