I am running NBU 7.5.6 so this tech mote does not apply but you are probably right, this issue seems to be related to symantec netbackup.

Is there a way i can test the user authentication for my radosgw? While my radosgw is responding properly to s3cmd, i can create buckets and put objects without passing authentication.

If i can test that radosgw is responding properly to access-key/secret-key, i will directly engage symantec support to get this fixed.
