It seems possible that you're hitting a NetBackup bug - see http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH209552
As long as you got your RadosGW up and working I don't think this is a discussion meant for the ceph-users mailing list. Maybe NetBackup forums on symantec connect.

In NetBackup (with proper licensing) you can configure something called Cloud Storage Servers. Essentially a storage unit in Rackspace Cloudfiles or Amazon S3. There's an option to change url to the storage server, so you can replace it with the url to your RadosGW.

As long as only the basic features are used by NBU cloud storage (no versioning, expiry etc of objects) this sounds like it would work and be a feasible solution for using your Ceph cluster as backend storage for NetBackup.

You would want to test this and it would be really interesting to hear the results if you do.
