Re: guidance with hadoop on ceph

Hi Noah,

I used bobtail (0.56) and repeated the steps, and mkcephfs ran fine. Thanks. However, the very next command ( sudo service ceph -a start ) returns the following: ceph: unrecognized service. Any way to resolve this?

Thanks again,
Varun

Varun,

It isn't clear from the log where exactly the problem is cropping up. Would you mind trying to use the stable Bobtail release?

Is there some other file I should be modifying?
