Brent,

you want to look at Gnopernicus. It is being developed actively but is not 
yet in the be1ta staqe where it could be used to do use`ful work. I am 
waiting for it to reach that point myself, because I need it to develop my 
Braille translation package for gnome. If you look at the Web site for 
this package you can find a link to the gnopernicus Web site under "other 
relevant projects".The URL to the gnomebrl site is:
