OK, some additional items to this discussion that should be of interest to many ... 1.) Links (with an i) now supports link numbering. Turn this on under View then html options. It's a check box there. 2.) I have not tried USPS, but I have tried both Verizon and Verizon Wireless in the past day. In both these instances I see an old familiar problem. The web site complains that I have not enabled SSL support, and tells me that at least 128-bit encryption is important to the security of my data. Unfortunately, they're not really testing for SSL encryption, but browser sniffing. In other words, they violate the very security principles they proclaim. One can demonstrate this by providing any contacts at the offending site reports from SSL testing sites such as: http://www.modssl.org/related/testing.html 3.) We should ask the developers of Links (with an i) to provide an html option to move the cursor in tandem with hyperlink focus. This would greatly enhance the usability of links for blind users. This is the "show_cursor" feature of lynx (with a y),and links (with an i) could easily provide it, so the more of us that ask, the liklier we are to get it. -- Janina Sajka, Director Technology Research and Development Governmental Relations Group American Foundation for the Blind (AFB) Email: janina@afb.net Phone: (202) 408-8175 Chair, Accessibility SIG Open Electronic Book Forum (OEBF) http://www.openebook.org
