I saw demonstrated a stair climbing chair 7 years ago and it was available
for sale then, don't recall name. Ioperated from a joystick just like any
power chair.

Someone thus scribed:

>For UPS website I ask a sighted person to use it.
>
>Those stair climbing wheelchairs are still in F D A testing and are expected to cost 20 to 25 grand. They require upper body strength, which is why electric wheelchairs were invented in the first place to help those with lack of arm strength to operate a manual wheelchair. What was Dean thinking when he designed it?
>
>In the mean time most other electric wheelchairs run from 3 grand to 18 grand depending on features and accessories. I select them based on known conditions and limits as to weight and size. I guess in turn we could jsut quit using UPS and go to another shipper. I like the mail service as its faster then UPS and comes later in the day. Fed ex comes too early in the morning for me to get a package, so not Fed Ex for me.
