X clients and jaws

Hi,

I think its confusingly the other way round. Its the X-server that runs on a
PC, and the X-client that runs on Unix/Linux, but I may be wrong.

In any case, its not possible to use JAWS or any other screen reader running
under windows/DOS to access X. This is because the picture displayed on a PC
is only that, a picture drawn by the application at the unix end. No
information is transfered about what the picture means, i.e. whether its a
menu bar, a character, or a graphic. As far as I am aware, the only way blind
people are ever going toget access to X is if a Unix/Linux based screenreader
is developed for this purpose.

Regards,

Tim Pennick
