Sorry people - maybe I'm having a bad fur day. But I do not see why one
would want to implement a RAID system without using a UPS... That's like
building a car with airbags but without a steering wheel! (You're
heading for trouble no matter what.)

Oh yes, I know some people like to use (ATA)RAID for striping purposes -
hmmm...
