Syncronisation question

Hi all,

I read in the Promise Windows Array management Utility manual, that that
the tool allows you to re-sync your RAID-1 data manually.

Is there any way to to this under Linux using the Promise Binary
drivers?

I read in the Promise drive archive in the file FT-ioctl.txt:
(4) [ARGUMENT]
           command: 0x3804
           args   : unsigned char args[512]
       [DESCRIPTION]
           set Disable Mirroring Synchronous flag :
           FastTrak driver allows user to disable starting mirroring ,
           when system is critical and be going to rebuild array ,
           untill the flag has been disabled.
           args[0] = '1' -> disable mirroring synchronous
           args[0] = '0' -> enable mirroring synchronous

Does any one know what this is/does?

I'd like to know if any background sync'ing is going on?

Mike.
