Tyler,=20 The priority airport standby is only valid if the fare that you paid = permits standby travel. Again they are only going to waitlist you for a flight = if your fare permits changes. I think they only board Gold members first = on international flights. What I ended up with is a 6 hour layover in FRA because LH would not let = me fly standby on one of the five flights to BCN that left before the one I = was scheduled on. Well, I could have taken an earlier one for 200 Euros. = In addition, LH would not let me upgrade or board early. When I was in FRA = I went to the UAL desk to complain about the service and they just shook = their heads at me. When I asked what the benefit of the Star Alliance = actually was then, they responded that they "didn't know." -----Original Message----- From: Mark Greenwood [mailto:mgreenwood@xxxxxxxxx]=20 Sent: Wednesday, January 28, 2004 3:30 AM To: AIRLINE@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: Letter to ACA How so? -----Original Message----- From: The Airline List [mailto:AIRLINE@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of = =3D Tyler Munoz Sent: Tuesday, January 27, 2004 6:47 AM To: AIRLINE@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: Letter to ACA Except that Star Alliance Gold cards mean nothing to them. -----Original Message----- From: Alireza Alivandivafa [mailto:DEmocrat2n@xxxxxxx]=3D3D20 Sent: Monday, January 26, 2004 4:00 PM To: AIRLINE@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: Letter to ACA <<Sounds like the letter I need to write to United about LH service. =3D = Can't wait to see the response you get.>> Um, LH's service is some of the best I have ever had.
