In #fedora, registration has been required for far longer.  I'm not
sure it's required in most of the other fedora channels anymore, as
the freenode issues seem to have died down after their recent server
migration.

Of course, whether registration should be required for support in
#fedora is a valid question.  But IMO, it's not all that relevant as
#fedora is quite often a hostile place to newcomers (thanks to
numerous toxic regulars there).  It might be a good thing if new folks
can't figure out how to register.  It could save them from being
antagonized and blaming Fedora. :)

(That said, I haven't been following #fedora in the past month or so.
If it has improved, that's great.  Every time I go there though, I get
quickly annoyed and discouraged.)
