Thank you, Rex.
I see both the KMail and Kontact Handbooks are available
if I go to Applications and enter khelpcenter.
I see now that it is also available by just typing "khelpcenter".

But neither is available by clicking the Help button in KMain or Kontact;
one is told that the documentation is not available on the computer,
and advised to look in <https://docs.kde.org/>.
This seems to me to be a minor bug.
