Sure, whatever. Seems a bit silly to repeat the same report to multiple
places, but... maybe we can find better ways of getting this information
spread around.
I guess my purpose in yesterday was that I felt like all the topics I
brought up were ones in which I *personally* wasn't 100% sure that
sufficient progress or communication was being made.
Maybe that was just me being behind on email -- but I don't think it's out
of line to sit down 6 weeks before the release and say "ok, we've got all
the leaders of various sub-groups more or less in the same place. Let's
go down the list and try to touch on everything."
If I go around and personally ask the KDE spin guys about that, and
Jesse/Jeremy/Mike about the build system, and do the Summit DVD stuff
myself, then things get done, but information doesn't really flow. Or I
could go to the IRC meeting for each of those groups and spend my whole
week in chat rooms. Neither option seems particulalry good.
My goal with yesterday's meeting was to get the general status of all
things F7 out there for everyone to be at a pretty similar baseline, and
allow people to talk out their issues in one place.
Basically it was a big Engineering Status Meeting, that we used the Board
meeting time for.
