It depend on how many inputs you want and how much money you have for that.
For recording, you have the choice between semi-pro cards like, as example, theones from M-audio, or professional cards like the one fromHammerfall. The cards from the second category have separated A/D and D/Aconverters but are much more expansive and may be an overkill for what youwant to do. 
Beside the alsa site, you can find useful informations like the names of thesupported cards into ALSA_Configuration.txt (kernel doc or alsa-driver doc).After, google is your friend.
