-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello All I am trying to find information about the recording capabilities of audio interfaces. Everything I see on hardware site is in reference to play back quality for gaming. For me this is much less important then the recording quality. I am basically trying to put together a semi-portable recording system for jam session of some very good old time fiddle players that liver near me. They are getting on in years and don't record professionally any more but they get together and jam regularly. Having something that I can setup quickly and break down quickly would be great to get these folks recorded. I already have a mixer and mics but I need something to input the audio into a computer. I could use tape but that excludes a lot of other options, such as real time tuning, that can be done with a good computer audio interface. ( All the sound cards I have on hand are el-cheapos that have been floating around my lab for years.) So my question is what is the best interface for recording under Linux? Does anybody on this list do music recording with Linux? If so what hardware do you use and how do you like it and why? If you don't have a good answer but do know of a better place to ask the question please tell me so I can go ask them. Thank you very much Joe -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Charset: UTF8 Note: This signature can be verified at https://www.hushtools.com/verify Version: Hush 3.0 wkYEARECAAYFAkng/oAACgkQWxjNVzInnhWH2ACgtXbL37d04R3+XGnS7eQx0LuryxIA ninbTSOVea4nYB9u5cxuZWCjyfPI =VGks -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This SF.net email is sponsored by: High Quality Requirements in a Collaborative Environment.
