Hi Mark,

 I did a 'sudo lsmod | grep snd' &...

I noticed that my mia was referred to as 'snd_mia' rather than 'snd-mia'
as you stated. In other words... underscore (_) rather than dash (-), &
it produced these results of various inquires (the - - - - - - - > are

So, not sure where this leaves us... but it does look like there is more
data... perhaps you (or any one with some insights or ideas) can comment
& help interpret towards doing the correct procedure to enable an
MiaMIDI connect?

As usual, thanks,
Henry
p.s. will this bring me closer to finding the correct (possible)
firmware update?
