Dear all, I recently bought a rme multiface because I read it runs under linux with alsa. Unforunately I don't manage to get it working. I allready downgraded the firmware versino to Rev 11 as announced in several forums, but still I get from dmesg: ______________________________________________________________________ Hammerfall-DSP: wait for FIFO status <= 0 failed after 30 iterations Hammerfall-DSP: cannot load firmware multiface_firmware_rev11.bin Hammerfall-DSP: couldn't get firmware from userspace. try using hdsploader Hammerfall-DSP: card initialization pending : waiting for firmware and later Hammerfall-DSP: initializing firmware upload Hammerfall-DSP: loading firmware Hammerfall-DSP: finished firmware loading Hammerfall-DSP: wait for FIFO status <= 127 failed after 5000 iterations Hammerfall-DSP: Error setting default values Hammerfall-DSP: error creating alsa devices _______________________________________________________________________ when I run hdsploader I get hdsploader - firmware loader for RME Hammerfall DSP cards Looking for HDSP + Multiface or Digiface cards : Card 0 : VIA 82C686A/B rev50 with CS4299 at 0x1400, irq 5 Card 1 : RME Hammerfall DSP at 0x26000000, irq 11 Upload firmware for card hw:1 Hwdep ioctl error on card hw:1 : Device or resource busy. I am running debian unstable with kernel 2.6.21-rc6 with realtime patch ( alsa 1.0.14.rc3 ) and also tried 2.6.18.2 ( alsa 1.0.12rc1 ) I use the firmware binaries from alsa-firmware-1.0.14rc3 both the same :( does anyone run the hdsp card with success??
