problem solved (Re: odd font problem, under tiny-X )

i've fixed the problem shown in the urls down below.  my framebuffer
was running at 8bpp.  i modified the driver to support 16bpp (i was
doing this for unrelated reasons) and the font problem cleared up completely.

i'd say that this points at an obvious bug somewhere in the font rendering
code.  i really don't know where it would be, however.

is there somewhere more "official" i should file this as a bug report?
