Where is the ATI Radeeon ???

I compiled XFree from sources.  I think
you will need the latest of the 4.2.x series
for X because the Radeon and especially the
9000 are fairly new.

In order to make the radeon work see if you
have the directory /usr/X11R6/:

./lib/modules/dri/radeon_dri.so
./lib/modules/drivers/radeon_drv.o

I also have this in my /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 file.

Section "Device"
    Identifier  "Radeon 8500"
    VendorName  "ATI"
    Driver      "radeon"
    Option 	"AGPMode" "4"
#    VideoRam	32768
    VideoRam	65536
    #VideoRam    4096
    # Insert Clocks lines here if appropriate
EndSection


Lastly I think you may need "DRI" support for
the radeon in your kernel.

Error Loading Explorer.exe
You must reinstall Windows.
