[Newbie]Trident 3DImage975 AGP and Psychodelic Colors

I have the same damn problem!! Don't know what to do about it, but thought I
would comisserate.  Do you also have a problem logging into gnome??  It wont
conect with my display...and says there's some kind of problem with xdm,
xauth, or root logins.
