Greetings, all:

I'm having a bit of trouble with a recent upgrade to XFree86 4.2.0. As soon as I
upgraded, I noticed that while in 16- or 24-bit color modes, my colors get all hosed
up. In 8-bit everything looks as expected. This problem appears in KDE, and in
Gnome, so I've ruled out the window manager. Previous to the upgrade, I had
XFree86 4.0.2, and the colors looked great, so it doesn't look like something specific
to 4.x.
I've searched all through the on-line docs, and through Google. It appears as if
this problem is not new, but I can't find a documented solution anywhere. Any help
is appreciated. TIA!
