Dear colleagues,
A 2 year post-doctoral research
contract is available on CO2 recycling through subduction zones, part of
the ERC project CO2Volc (http://co2volc.pi.ingv.it/).
The work will be carried out jointly between INGV Pisa, Italy, under
the supervision of Dr. Mike Burton, and at the Department of Earth
Sciences in Durham University, UK, under the supervision of Dr. Colin
Macpherson.
A PhD and experience in petrological research are required. The research will involve numerical modelling, and therefore a minimum of experience in this subject is also required, with training and support in numerical modelling available to the researcher during the contract. It is therefore an ideal position for a newly qualified petrology PhD interested in learning and applying numerical models to Earth Science research questions.

Salary is ~2000 euro per month after tax.
