Volcano hazards course at Fall AGU

University of Hawaii is running a version of FEMA’s Volcano Crisis
Awareness course on the weekend following AGU. This course was developed
jointly by University of Hawaii and the Volcano Hazards program of USGS.
It is FREE. Places are still available and we would love to see you there.

The course runs from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday December 14 and 8 a.m. – 12
p.m. on Sunday December 15.  The course will be held at the Marriott
Courtyard Hotel and FEMA covers ALL costs.  On completion of the course,
you will receive a formal certificate from FEMA. Five hours of taught
modules on Saturday are followed by followed by a 4-hour long eruption
scenario at Mount Hood.
