VOLCANO: Call for Papers - JVGR Special Issue on Merapi 2010 Eruption

Dear All,

The electronic submission site of the Journal of Volcanology and Geothermal Research - Merapi Eruption Special Issue (Guest Editors: Philippe Jousset, John Pallister and Surono; Editor-in-Chief of the Special Issue: Jurgen Neuberg) is now open.

This special issue is primarily, but not exclusively based on works presented during the EGU 2010 General Assembly (Vienna, Austria).

While the submissions should dominantly include works presented during this conference, other independent and relevant submissions will also be considered to be included in this volume, especially review papers.

The special issue submission link (see below) will be open until 15 January 2012. The review process will be identical to the review process for regular JVGR articles. Please indicate in your cover letter which of the guest editors you would prefer to handle your work with. Please also provide at least 2 names (including contact information) of potential reviewers of your work.

Important instructions for smooth submission process:
The submission website for this journal is located at: http://ees.elsevier.com/volgeo/default.asp.
If you are not a registered user of the JVGR electronic editorial system (EES) please Register to obtain a “Username” and a “Password”.
Once registered, Log in as “Author”, then click on “Submit New Manuscript”.
To ensure that all manuscripts are correctly identified for inclusion into the special issue, it is important that you select “Special Issue: Merapi eruption” when you reach the “Choose Article Type” step in the submission process from the scroll down menu list. Please make sure you remember this instruction when submitting a paper (this step is important to be sure that your manuscript entering in this special issue and not in the normal research paper editorial track).

Then, follow the instructions clicking on the “Next” button when you finished one part. In the end of your submission, you need to approve your submission following the instructions. If you have any questions/problems, please don't hesitate to contact any of the Guest Editors.
